About ESiLS

Logan and Laureen decided to create the Empirical Studies in Libraries Summit (ESiLS) after meeting in doctoral classes together at the University at Buffalo. As individuals who love engaging with research, as researchers and as librarians, they realized they'd both love to see an easy-to-attend, dynamic conference. They also realized that there were not many conferences that focused specifically on empirical research, so they decided to create one and are hopeful that it will attract other practitioner-researchers in addition to researchers, librarians, library school faculty and graduate students.
